The University of Oulu International Scholarship Scheme provides scholarships to academically talented international students studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the University of Oulu.

Target group:

International students who are liable to pay the tuition fees (citizens of non-EU/EEA countries)

 

 

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The scholarships will be granted in the form of a tuition fee waiver and the tuition fees and scholarships depend on the programme in question.

 

In order to retain the scholarship in the following year of study, a student must have completed at minimum 60 credits by the end of the previous academic year.

 

 

Eligibility:

Applicants are eligible to apply for a University of Oulu Scholarship if they meet the admissions criteria and are liable to pay the tuition fee. University of Oulu Scholarships can be received only once. The scholarship application will be processed in the selection procedure only if the applicant meets the admissions criteria. The selection criteria for the University of Oulu Scholarship are based on previous academic performance and academic potential.

There is no separate application system for the International Scholarship. Applications for the International Scholarship are submitted together with the application for the preferred study option in the Studyinfo portal. To apply for the first year of a Master’s program (M1), applicants should justify holding a L3 degree (Bachelor – 180 ECTS) or, for applicants who have studied abroad, an equivalent level.

 

To apply for the second year of a Master’s program (M2), applicants should justify holding a M1 degree (240 ECTS) or, for applicants who have studied abroad, an equivalent level.

• You can only be eligible for the scholarship for the programme that is your first priority at the University of Gothenburg on 15 January 2024 in the international admission round at www.universityadmission.se.

Stipendium Hungaricum is a scholarship program for foreign students, which was launched by the Hungarian Government in 2013. The program aims to promote cultural understanding, economic and cultural relations between Hungary and other countries.

Eligibility Requirements:

 

• Nationality and country of residence: Candidates’ must be nationals of one of the 29 eligible countries and must be a resident of one of these countries (not necessarily the same country) at the time of application.

• Age: candidates’ age on January 1 of the year of intake must be no higher than 35 for an initial master and 45 for an advanced master.

• Professional background and experience: Preference will be given to candidates employed in higher education, government or civil society, or those targeting a career in one of these sectors. Candidates employed in the private sector or newly graduated candidates with no work experience may also be considered if they provide a strong motivation and profile.

• Scholarship applications: Candidates may apply for only one ICP Connect scholarship application per year.

• Previously awarded scholarships: Candidates may not have previously received a scholarship from the Belgian government to attend a study programme and may not have enrolled in a study programme at a Belgian higher education institution before January 1 of the year of intake.

Via the university’s website, you will have to apply for both admission to the programme as well as for the scholarship itself. When you apply for the programme, be sure to mention whether you wish to apply for a scholarship. The deadline varies and are determined by the programme but most deadlines are around 1 February or 28 February/1 March 2024.
